This publication reflects on Warm Worlds and Otherwise (2018-2020), a project co-commissioned in collaboration between QUAD, FACT Liverpool, Wysing Arts Centre and The Mechatronic Library.

With the final exhibition of the project at QUAD being forced to close due to the coronavirus lockdown, the publication was envisioned by curator Helen Starr as a ‘care package’ in times of pandemic—a way to reach out to audiences.

The 44-page full colour publication features new essays including ‘Ontologies of the Caribbean Sea’ by Helen Starr and an introductory text by QUAD’s Senior Curator Peter Bonnell.

The limited edition digital print Warm Worlds and Otherwise—DEEPLINK (2020) contains scannable links to allow viewers to experience elements of the artwork remotely.
